At My Village Pet Clinic, we strive to be your trusted partner in keeping your cherished companion happy, healthy, and living a paw-some life! We provide affordable pet vaccinations, crucial to every pet’s health and wellbeing. For extra savings, we also offer a low-cost vaccine clinic on Saturdays.

The Importance of Pet Vaccines

Vaccinations are your pet’s first line of defense against various infectious diseases. They prepare your pet’s immune system to fend off attacks from specific diseases, keeping them safe and healthy. At My Village Pet Clinic, we take a preventive approach to pet healthcare, and vaccinations play a vital role in that strategy.

We understand that each pet is unique, so we offer personalized vaccination plans tailored to your pet’s age, medical history, lifestyle, and specific health risks. Our team is here to guide you through the vaccination process, answer any questions, and ensure your pet receives the best possible care.

Canine and Feline Vaccinations

For Our Canine Companions

Dogs require a mix of core and non-core vaccines. Core vaccines are recommended for all dogs and protect against:

Rabies:

This vaccine protects against a fatal virus (rabies) that affects the brain and nervous system. The initial vaccination is given around 12-16 weeks of age, with a booster after one year and then every three years.

DHPP:

Distemper, Hepatitis, Parvovirus, and Parainfluenza vaccines are often combined into a single shot, and protect against several serious diseases. Puppies start with a series of shots at 6-8 weeks old, followed by boosters.
Non-core vaccines, such as those for Bordetella (kennel cough) and Lyme disease, are given based on your dog’s lifestyle and risk factors.

For Our Feline Friends

Cats also benefit from core and non-core vaccines, including:

Rabies:

Like dogs, cats should receive their first rabies vaccine at 12-16 weeks, with a booster after one year and every three years following.

Feline Distemper (FVRCP):

This vaccine protects against feline viral rhinotracheitis, calicivirus, and panleukopenia. Kittens start their shots at 6-8 weeks, with boosters following.
Non-core cat vaccines might include protection against feline leukemia (FeLV), which is especially important for outdoor cats or those in multi-cat households.
