Recognizing When Your Pet Needs Urgent Care

Pet parents need to know the signs that indicate a need for urgent veterinary attention. Some of these signs include:

Persistent Vomiting or Diarrhea:

While occasional upset stomachs may not be unusual, ongoing symptoms can lead to dehydration and indicate more serious problems.

Trouble Breathing:

Any signs of respiratory distress warrant immediate veterinary attention.

Injuries:

Cuts, lacerations, or any injury that causes bleeding or apparent pain needs prompt care.

Sudden Lethargy or Weakness:

A marked change in your pet’s energy levels can indicate underlying health issues.

Eating or Drinking Changes:

Refusal to eat or drink, especially if accompanied by other symptoms like vomiting, can indicate health concerns.

Bowel Problems:

Straining to use the bathroom or not going at all can indicate a severe health issue.
